Our Wedding

It started with a basketball. Not a grand gesture, not a dramatic moment. Just two people who kept ending up on the same court, talking after games, and eventually not wanting to stop talking at all..We met in high school. Swaraj was older, Zeal was faster, and for years we were just friends who happened to love the same sport. Then COVID happened, the world slowed down, and somewhere in all that stillness we figured out the deeper connect that had been there the whole time..The 6 years that followed weren’t always easy, but love has a quiet way of finding its path. Over time, we realised we weren’t only longing for each other; we were longing for home, for our families, and for a life rooted in both. So we decided to chose all of it. Swaraj flew across the world to join his family’s business, and Zeal finished her Master’s degree from UPenn, and came back to offer her knowledge and training to the world from the place she felt home..We found ourselves back where our stories first began, surrounded by the people who have always been part of them. whole thing unfold, and we could not be more ready.

Here's a bit more about our story and what we are up to these days!Although our journey began long before we realized we were approaching the same crossing, once we got there, we took our sweet time to decide whether we truly wanted to be together. For Zeal, it was a realization of who she became when she was with Swaraj — the version of herself she liked most. It took a 8-day trek, a Vipassana retreat, and countless conversations to arrive at that clarity. Swaraj, on the other hand, just knew; starting with his own daily meditation practice while Zeal was away for Vipassana, something in him was already certain.Of course, it hasn't been all rosy ever since. We've had our share of lows, fears, frictions, and churning. But what carried us through all of it was the space we gave each other to simply be ourselves. Neither of us ever needed to push the other — we just made room, held space, and let each other grow at our own pace (with a little nudging here and there). Over the years, that's what has kept us standing strong, together. And now, here we are... juggling three major life transitions all at once. One, we're both just finding our footing on new paths this year, which means we're still very much building our careers.Second, we have a new home taking shape, brick by brick, decision by decision.Third, of course, the wedding itself, the biggest transition of them all, folding everything else into one big, beautiful chaos. And through all this chaos and change, we couldn't be more thrilled that you'll be walking a stretch of this homerun with us. Thank you for being part of our story. We can't wait to celebrate with you.Stay tuned for more...

Reach out to us directly and we'll help you figure out the best way to get here, whether that means coordinating flights, suggesting the easiest routes, connecting you with the right people on the ground, or just helping you understand how the week is structured so you can plan around it. For guests coming from outside India, we know this trip is a big one, and we want it to feel worth every bit of the journey. A little nudge for our international guests: please book your flights and accommodation sooner rather than later! It's the holiday season and prices will go up quickly.
